Calathea ornata

Also known as a pinstripe calathea or prayer plant, this unique calathea has leaves with a rich burgundy color underneath and a pinstripe pattern on top. Not only are calathea pet-friendly, but they are also air-purifying! This plant is known as a prayer plant due to its leaves moving in accordance with light levels. 

Care

• Light Needs: Indirect sunlight, avoid direct sunlight to prevent foliage from burning 
• Water Needs: Let the soil dry out a bit before watering. When the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry, water thoroughly with room-temperature water. Hard water will cause the leaves to burn! Use distilled water, rainwater, or tap water that has been left out overnight.
• Bloom Season: N/A
• Height: 4-8"
• Growth Habit: Upright
• Feed once a month in the summer months with an all-purpose houseplant food (May through September).
