Ray Pogwist (Ray the Beekeeper), a local beekeeper will bringing an observation hive with live bees. He will talk about the importance of bees and have some informational handouts available. Any questions about beekeeping, honey or general questions about bees are welcomed. Ray will also have local honey available for purchase.
Ray has been beekeeping as a backyard beekeeper for 15 years, he is a Member of the New Jersey's Beekeepers Association. Over the years Ray has given many talks on bees and beekeeping and has won the Blue Ribbon award three times at Monmouth County Fair and once for best honey in New Jersey for his local honey.
This talk will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
