Orchids are among the most captivating and rewarding plants to grow—and they’re easier to care for than you might think! This introductory class will demystify orchids as we explore what makes them unique, how they grow in their natural habitats, and how their needs differ from typical houseplants. You’ll watch a live repotting demonstration and learn all the essentials to successfully grow and re-bloom your orchids.
Instructor: Cat Swiderski is a horticulturist and a lifelong orchid enthusiast. She is currently the Manager of Horticulture at Grounds for Sculpture, a 42-acre sculpture garden and arboretum in Hamilton, NJ. Cat’s own orchid journey began 20 years ago, and she is excited to help guide you on yours. She believes orchids are for everyone and is passionate about empowering others to become confident, successful orchid growers.
