WEATHER ADVISORY: This plant is a tender perennial that may sustain frost damage in freezing temperatures. Barlow's strongly recommends not planting tender plants until temperatures are consistently above 55 degrees at night. If you choose to plant now, be aware you must provide protection (by bringing the plant indoors, or by covering it with a breathable material) in case of freezing temperatures at night or risk frost damage or death of the plant.
Part of the boxwood family, pachysandra features creeping, woody stems and leathery leaves. It has small, light-colored upright flower spikes. It makes a great shade-tolerant groundcover plant and is semi-evergreen.
