Espoma Bio-tone® Starter Plus is an organic fertilizer ideal for many plants including flowers, trees, shrubs, and vegetables. Beneficial bacteria is combined in addition to endo and ecto mycorrhizae to allow for stronger roots, and bigger blooms. This high-quality fertilizer was originally designed for professional growers, but now allows everyone to enjoy larger plants!
We recommend using on all vegetables, flowers, trees, and shrubs to ensure growing larger roots and bigger flowers safely. Sprinkle fertilizer on at time of planting.
When using on…
- Flower Beds: Use 4 pounds, or 12 cups, for every 100 square feet of bed, and mix into the top few layers (4 to 6 inches) of soil.
- Bulbs: For each bulb being planted, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of fertilizer in the hole before placing the bulb in the soil.
- Potting Mixes: For every cubic yard, mix 9 pounds of Espoma Bio-tone® Starter Plus. For every cubic foot, mix 1 cup of the fertilizer.
- New Lawns: Before applying sod or seed, use 25 pounds for every 1,000 square feet.
