For New Trees…

Plan for how large the full grown tree will be. For best results, allow full sun. When digging the hole, dig twice the size and the same depth as the root ball. You will take out 1/3 of the soil and add in compost, humus, or high quality planting mix. Take 1 cup of Citrus-tone® and mix into the ready soil.

In the center of your ready dirt, you will make a cone and place the tree in the center. Sprawl the tree’s roots out evenly around the cone. Cover the roots with a few inches of your fortified soil. Once settled, the dirt around the tree should be at the same height as it was in its container. Once you have your plant in the new soil, water thoroughly to ensure the tree has appropriate moisture. Finally, when you see that your new plant has made 6 to 8 inches of new growth, you can begin a feeding schedule for your plant.

For Established Trees…

Sprinkle around the outer edges of branches  and evenly distribute through soil. You should be sure to keep fertilizer 6″ from the trunk of your plant. Water thoroughly to ensure the tree has appropriate moisture.

When Applying to Plants…

Up to three feet, apply 2 pounds, or 6 cups of fertilizer.

Three to six feet, apply 4 pounds, or 12 cups of fertilizer.

Seven to nine feet, apply 6 pounds, or 18 cups of fertilizer.

Above nine feet, apply 8 pounds, or 24 cups of fertilizer.

Feed every 60 days from late winter to fall.
